Nice lighting and contrast. Not sure what meaning you're trying to convey, and the background (looks like dirt) distracts from the leaves because it has lots of spots that may be worth looking at, but are just part of a almost-too-busy general background.

I love the general distortion of this image. The texture that the black and white emphasizes in the leaves is amazing as well. The spreading of the veins as well. Gorgeous pinnate venation.

Remains of the fall
lay scattered below.
Her arbor crown is laid bare,
with the Winter Lord's arrival
to claim the throne.

You have some fabulous detail in withered leaves. The black & white processing really calls my attention to the textures of the leaves and the ground. The B&W then lead to thoughts of loss of color. The leaves are like jewel colors from emerald green to topaz yellows to ruby reds. After autumn is done and gone the trees are bare and without color - the 'winter lord' lays claim

Nice textures and a decent attempt at converting to B&W. Blown highlights are bothering me, and with these kind of shots you should have sharpened it more since it gives more leverage to sharpening.

Gorgeous. Could be a Weston outtake. Or was that the previous year...?

But they have fallen together, and that is what counts.
