Not bad for a beaten up setup. The edge of the Book could be better set in focus. Light is good, the background is fair.

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.........
I just love this! This is the best photo. I would like to have this photo hanging up in my house. You did a very good job setting up this shot!!

If the topic was hope.... why faith?

A photo of a page in the bible really does not convay hope to me, maybe to others but not to me. Sorry

Faith and hope are certainly often very closely related for those who are religious. Given that I am not this image doesn't appeal to me hugely in terms of content. More than that, the image itself isn't aesthetically striking in any way - the angle of the book doesn't seem particularly interesting; I can see a tiny sliver of the surface beneath the book at the left corner and yet because it's so much darker than the main content it pulls my focus to i, the edges of the book are dirty and unattractive; the blue crinkly material at top right doesn't seem to go with the material and adds another colour to the mix. Hope this is of some use and not too negative a criticism. Best of luck.

Nicely focused. Well lighted. Good composition.

I see two weaknesses which detract from the photo. 1) The upper right has a background that is colored and textured in a way that is distracting. Since this is a set up shot, I would suggest a background that is more subtle. 2) And you could correct this one with a different crop ... I find the litle dark triangle of background in the lower left distracting.

While I can find the word "hoped" in the photo, the tie in to the theme "hope" feels tenuous to me.

I don't like the lighting, the composition, or much. I would have liked to see a more interesting subject.
