 I wasn't going to enter this challenge (and probably shouldn't), but I couldn't resist such an obvious symbol of hope. I only got a few shots off before it faded, so I didn't have time to fiddle with camera settings. I tried to make the most of my heavily wooded backyard by framing the rainbow with trees.

Cropped, Levels, slight HSB. The result reminds me of a Maxfield Parrish painting. I HOPE it doesn't get spanked too hard.

Nothing beats a beautiful rainbow but top it with a sunset and you've got a fabulous shot. Well done!!

Nice composition, lights/shadows and natural framing. The rainbow is a bit too grainy. Overall I feel it a bit loosely related to the topic. GC

I love rainbows and I understand the promise part in the title. The trees that are framing this picture really make it an out of the ordinary shot!
