Greetings from the Critique Club :)

Hi Ancientimages...

Hummingbirds are interesting creatures. They have a lot of beauty simply in their petite size and precision motion around my feeders.

This photo feels like a bit of a 'wedge' into this challenge. When a viewer looks at this photo and tries to evaluate the tie in to the theme of hope, I believe they will be left wanting. The photo also feels quite underexposed. The composition here has a bit too much negative space to really make the hummingbird a strong subject. The blurred background helps, but I believe the bird needs to fill more of the frame here to be successful as a great bird photo. Its difficult to get close to these guys :)

Wow .. this is the second shot I've seen (in my life) of these little guys sitting. I'm really not sure how well this meets the challenge (without your title) I dont think I would make the conclusion (hoping to survive since he is so small).

Great shot! I know how hard it is to catch one of these little fellows still! My only sugesstion would be to lighten the image -- he kind of fades into the shadows.

Good picture, but it seems a litle to dark.

struggling to find a link to hope. Yes I understand that hoping to survive has a link, but its pushing it a bit.

The focus appears a little off, but incredible shot of a still hummingbird. You must be very patient or very lucky.
