Photography is the art of seeing, a poetry of eyes. I focus on awareness of what is, observing, seeing the moment without distraction by the straight and hurry of everyday life. I hope to capture the wonder of the ordinary and the feel of the extraordinary.
I write poetry and photograph poetically, thus I chose Poetic Photography. Here in the very north of Vermont the frost season lasts six months. Frost on my windows is a central theme for my photography during those chilled months..
My preference in images is similar to my poetry: simple, clear, direct rather than fancy or complex. I love nature including the nature of we weird human animals. My images prefer minimal processing in Photoshop.
Where I live is off the beaten track, a little closer to Burlington than to Montreal. Here there is frost aplenty, apple trees, flowers, forest, mountains, big sky, waterfalls, rivers, and lakes, but alas, no ocean. I̢۪m a carpenter and am presently building my abode in a secluded area of beauty. Visit me sometime; my studio is comfy inside and expansive outside.
