FISH!!! That stinks. Ok not funny.

Go to petco, petsmart, local pet store, fish market, the aquarium, or go fishing.

Now because Tiny suggested it does it have to be a tiny fish?

I think Tiny was referring to the British definition of Fish

BRITISH informal
a person who is strange in a specified way.

all because of this

Yes, it has to be Baby guppies hahaha

will be a fun challenge I think

Had no clue there different meanings to fish There are tons of strange people around all the time

Makes me think of that song- people are strange

I am actually super excited about this one. Only problem is getting the shot I want is going to come down to a lot of luck and I could end up with nothing after 6 days of trying.

I think "Fish" is a GREAT topic. There's SO much room for creativity, so many ways to tackle it, from the most literal (shot OF a fish) to the industrial (fisherman unloading) to the Seussian (Blue Fish anyone?) to the card game to...... Just get fishy, folks :-)

Its not too bad- and yes- it is grilling season. And actually, Rain is pretty good, time to break out umbrellas.

I am having a creative block on 11th Commandment, and I can't think of anything. it's Mother's Day and it's kind of busy. I don't know if I'm going to be able to enter this.

Also, I can't find any good abandoned spaces that I can get access to.

Mark, you probably can't come up with anything bc The 10 commandments are perfect already we don't need an 11th, won't be entering this one, nor will I vote on it.

If the ten commandments are perfect, then explain Matthew 22:36-40

. Somehow I knew someone would bring that up.....the first four commands show love towards God, the next six show love towards man, that's what is meant by those vs.

conversely there are 11 satanic rules. none require you to acknowledge satan.

Do not give opinions or advice unless you are asked.
Do not tell your troubles to others unless you are sure they want to hear them.
When in another’s lair, show him respect or else do not go there.
If a guest in your lair annoys you, treat him cruelly and without mercy.
Do not make sexual advances unless you are given the mating signal.
Do not take that which does not belong to you unless it is a burden to the other person and he cries out to be relieved.
Acknowledge the power of magic if you have employed it successfully to obtain your desires. If you deny the power of magic after having called upon it with success, you will lose all you have obtained.
Do not complain about anything to which you need not subject yourself.
Do not harm little children.
Do not kill non-human animals unless you are attacked or for your food.
When walking in open territory, bother no one. If someone bothers you, ask him to stop. If he does not stop, destroy him.

How quickly Mark's creative block turned into a religious discussion after Neat's homily.

Pagans keep it simple with two guidelines:

Rede: "An’ it harm no one, do as ye will."
Threefold Law of Return: “What is done, for good or for ill, shall be returned to us threefold."
Karma with a kick.

I'm bringing this back to life so I can bitch and moan.

There have been a bunch of new challenge suggestions over the past few weeks, many very original. But we get Rule of Thirds VII and Sports VI?? Ugh.

One other thing - I didn't enter the !deppilF challenge and I don't want to take anything away from all the fantastic images I saw after rollover this evening, but it's a good thing I didn't vote on it either because I really would have been annoyed at all the REFLECTIONS that were flipped. We have reflections challenges all the time. Just had one a few weeks ago. IMO, the challenge suggestion should have included a "NO REFLECTIONS" caveat. Would've yielded more creativity, I believe. Again, not trying to take away from the entries - many of them would have done as well in a reflections challenge.

Ahhh, I feel better. Remember, I am not complaining. I'm bitching and moaning. Feel free to supply your own negative sentiments. Positive ones will be tolerated as well.

I wonder if the reason behind this stems from the fact the technical challenges typically get more entries than the other challenges? I did an analysis and clearly things like Leading Lines, Shallow DOF etc get more entries than conceptual topics. Even if they may seem boring, if they bring more participation, perhaps it's not that bad?
