Wooohoo! Red.

Thanks everyone.

This little guy was at Shark Valley in the Everglades... Probably not so cute anymore though. :)

Cory, wonderful photo and worthy of the high score for sure. Now, I'll nitpik a bit, based on conversation from this thread: Bordering on Ridiculous

I like letterbox "borders" and this one works well - except I don't care for the bleeding into the photo in the lower left. Perhaps a 1 pixel wide dark grey border line just preceding the black would have offset it some? :-)

There's something otherworldly cute about a baby alligator. It's one of nature's great con jobs. Vicious little pricks...

Adorable little guy! He almost looks like he coulda won the smile contest himself. I sense a kindred spirit. ;) Well captured. Everything just crisp and spot on! Congrats on the ribbon!

Way to go Cory! The lighting on this little guy is fabulous. The little gator resting on the lilypad definitely gives a good sense of scale (heh, pun intended) of how small he is. Shark Valley has been on my radar for at least two years but we never seem to get out that way for something always comes up. One day though...

Congrats on your ribbon! I think the Yellow ribbon would have matched that upper right spot that I can't get over since it's the brightest thing in the image... but ...

Red is even better!

He's a cutie!

Great wildlife image capture, Cory. Perfect DOF, focus and composition. Masterful job of including the entire creature in the frame, which is not always easy, but always important. Well deserved ribbon winner!

Cute little devils,, and they have sharp teeth too. We used to play with them when I was a kid, but you have to watch out for the "momma gator".
Congrats on one of the finest gator photos I have seen anywhere, and kudus on the Red!

One can already feel the inherent danger in that predator. Well done.

Congratulations on the red Cory - great shot and that little gator is so cute I can see why some people want them for pets. What a shame you can't make them stay like that.

Congrats, Cory! This was the first image that came up for me, but I got distracted and never made it back to vote/comment. Really amazing.

One of my top picks. These little fellows are usually so camouflaged that it is hard to see them clearly. Nice job.

Now I've got that song in my head! Could be worse. And it's a darned cute little gator (or croc or whatever it is). Nice composition and DOF. I just love that he's on a lily pad, where you expect a frog to be. Or maybe there was a frog there just a minute ago =:-0
