Thank you all for your comments. I DEEPLY appreciated each of them.
When I first saw High Speed photographs some months ago, I just wanted
to try to get the same results. And... here I am. Wow my first ribbon. Well dont expect too much from me, Im just a beginner....

Great shot. What type of trigger mechanism did you use to sync your flash? I tried the same thing with a little cornstarch in a balloon, manually, without a trigger and couldn't get the timing just right, so I abandonned the idea. Congrats on the ribbon.

Quite amazing, and congrats on the ribbon :) In most challenges this would have been a blue for sure, but the competition here was so fierce.
Absolutely sensational shot. |

Congrats, great shot. Maybe you could write a "How'd they do that ?" for this shot, also explaining the extra equipment needed to trigger the flash ? |

I was thinking about using water ballons if I were to enter this challenge and you did a wonderful job of using this type of medium. Although my shot would not involve a rifle, I was going to drop the balloon onto a pin or other sharp object to pop the balloon. Then I thought of logistical problems such as the water flying everywhere and that pretty much ended my train of thought for that challenge. Great job! |

Well to be honest - I haven't seen anything to beat this just yet. I really like the shapes that are a consequence of this which I wouldn't otherwise have seen if you didn't have such a fast shutter! This image demonstrates a purpose for the challenge so it gets my top vote so far. |

Holy cow! That is cool! I'm guessing that the bit to the far right is the bullet. What I love the most, however, is how you can see how the rubber is starting to wrinkle as the water falls out. |

WOWZERS! Now that's what I call stop action! Even though you had little control over what shapes would evolve - it is a really pleasing composition. Not to mention your choice of balloon color, background and lighting setup are perfect. If this one doesn't win the blue..... I'll be shocked.

Now that must have been a fast shutter or was it done by flash. And how would you time when to release the shutter or was it tripped by remote. Anyway amazing shot, extra points for differculty. |

Man, now that's some fast shutter work. Timed really well also. Can't wait to read your description of the process. "Shooted" should be "Shot", but, Hey! We're here to talk images, not grammar. And your "image" is fantastic. Good luck with the challenge. |
