49 comments and 10 favs thus far so I can't say much. Excellent shot but a little more light on the foreground would have made me want a print. A fantastic shot.

Nice shot Fritz! I love Orion up there! Good choice of sky to use with Orion and the Milky Way and of course the moon just out of frame.

Your very lucky to be able to see such a sky. The last time I saw such a sight was when we had a power cut. Although my daughter lives on the Falklands and she say such sights are to be seen every night. Great shot

Woaaaa. Congratulations on an image that despite it's place, is well worth a favorites addition. No wonder it had to be validated. People probably thought it was too good to be true. I like the scene of cactus, green, blue, stars. Highest score I am giving thus far.

This is such a magical shot. The light of the moon coming from top right and the light of the sun on the horizon are lovely. Also, the curving topography cut through by the cactus makes this shot one of the best in this challenge. I give it a 9.

I hope you sell some prints of this one. Great composition and tones. I like the splash of color from the sun going down, and the cactus just completes the picture.

Great capture. Nice DOF and composition. Only negative I have (minor) is the halo around the right side of the rock formation (perhaps from selecting the sky to post-process?). 9

I can almost hear the coyotes howling. Seriously, this photograph is something one would expect to see on a travel brochure. It has a very alluring quality to it, and makes me wish I was there. Too bad the moon was not a tad lower, but you certainly have oodles of stars. I can't give you as many points as there are stars in the sky, but I can give you 10.

beautiful! perfect for "stars" Where does one live when they can actually photograph stars? I thought I saw a star once.... 10

I like the shot and great detail in the stars and just barly in the rocks. The half moon at the top looks out of place. I would like all in or all out, but the half way doens't work for me. But still a good rating. :)
