NOTE FOR FUTURE:
Don't take a photo in which voters monitors will eithr make it look great or a giant black rectangle. 44 votes of 1, ouch.
Didn't really fit challenge, but I don't live near anything all that compelling. Green Mtns of VT don't really compare to the northern lights of Iceland. Thank you for all the comments. |

Hmmmm... I turned the brightness ALL the way up on my monitor and played with my Gamma settings, and now if I look closely, I can see some hint of the Pleiades and the costellation Taurus. Many people must have much better monitors than me, as I can still barely see anything other than a black rectangle with a few light smudges. One of the hazards of online voting I guess! |

Very intersting. Shows how many people have monitors set too darkly. I think the image is rather fascinating myself. :) |

There just isn't enough detail in the shot. Try taking a number of shots using the same duration and stacking them together to get a more detailed sky shot. |

how do you get the stars on your camera? |

Should not be included in a Landscape contest. |

star pictures can be cool but there needs to be something else on the picture, I can barely see the outlines of the hill over and there arent that many stars on the sky either. If you took this in 3 seconds , 30 seconds would be more like it. |

There is some land at the bottom of your photo but the photo is so dark that it is hard to see and sky doesn't say landscape to me. |

I have wanted to do this shot, however yours is not very appealing. I think if there was something to reference the sky too like a partually lighted house or something. The lower section of the image is very dark. If there was something there perhaps it would be better. IMO |

I like this shot other than the small white section on the bottom right corner. A slightly tigher crop would have made this photo falwless in execution. 9 |

The stars in this photo came out pretty well! However, it's hard to see any detail in the land portion of the pic. Perhaps a sillhouette of a tree mingled with the stars would be nice for the Landscape theme. |

Beautiful! I love photos that clearly show twinkling stars, crisp and sharp. Great job. |

Risky, and I like it. Nice tonal separation between t he ground and the sky. |

Nice picture of Hydra, but don't see the landscape. |

not enough stars to be interesting. |

Of course the sky is a part of the landscape, I do not see that the sky IS the landscape :-( |
