For me, this is a very comforting view of the afterlife. Don't know if it's true, but it sure would be nice if it was.

I agree with metatate. CREATIVITY is the key. I also used a cut out in my 1980's entry, and it got a LOT of flack afterwards. Glad you ribboned with yours, although it was still nice to receive such flack on my own. It gives me pride to have the flack for some not knowing the "how to's" of a rendition. A ribbon would have only been a bonus. Kudo's to you and your idea for this. It worked well for you :) CONGRATS!

Your style is difinitive of why this web site is a success. Original yet simple ... your use of "ordinary desk lamps" with conventional things people might find around the house is inspiring.
In an era where people tend to think that photoshop can do anything and everything (a false idea of course) ... One has a reality check when seeing clean, barely altered images right off the camera.
