Paul - Don't worry about the 1s. Its a fabulous photo and beautifully done.
Incidentally, I have realised that those who score 1s tend to have to write their IQs down just so they can remember how stupid they really are.
I am truly grateful that the narrow minded have no consistent influence over art. |

Thanks for all the great comments and words of support in relation to the '1‘ votes. Although some people may have voted '1’ for the nude, I think it is just as likely to be '1' because it wasn't a strong enough sepia tone.
I won a ribbon with a nude in Black & White IV with no votes of '1' and think it was a more challenging image than this one in terms of its content. SO I've since come to the conclusion that I can't assume that 1s for my nude work are given just because it is a nude image - people may just have thought this to be DNMC.

| When I see pictures like this and scroll down to see 1,2 & 3 ratings for it it makes me wonder if people are just offended by any nudity at all. I agree with everyone else that has said this is a great artistic nude photo. And if anyone that rated this so low sees this comment you should be ashamed of yourselves. The quality of the photo is great, the model is classically beautiful and the lighting is excellent. If people who log onto this site can not handle nudity like this then you should stop visiting and voting. Nude photos have been an art form for as long as there have been cameras and I hope to see more tasteful photos like this. |

| Gorgeous model, very strong attitude. The light and mood made me strongly suspect it was your work. Great use of contrast. I just am disappointed by the low voters, I really don't understand what their silly crusade is about. |

| This is extremely lovely. The sepia really highlights the softness of her skin. The expression on her face is angelic and the addition of curls really brings a maiden-feel forward. This definitely has a classic nude feel to it. |

| Considering the surroundings and your processing you really have managed to create a nice vintage feel to this. Your lighting is also wonderful which has created a very flattering shot of an attractive model. The question is tho, how is it going to be received the anti-nude prudes? I'll give a nice high socre to try to counterbalance some of the inevitable 1's and 2's that you'll no doubt (unfairly) receive. |
