It's not something I'm going to buy and put on my wall, but it's definitely a shot worth cherishing. Remember those photos we see of our parents or grandparents? There's something very modern classic about it. Something nostalgic.

I would imagine it has something to do with the beautiful girl's eyes and her doll. Some would say that the lighting could be improved, but the longer I look at the photo the less those technical lighting issues are recognizable. The DOF and composition frames and leads you straight to her gaze.

Wow, I love this photo for its simplicity! I can't predict how the mainstream voters feel, but you have certainly won me over! My favorite part of this photo is her eye and the hairs that are lightly covering it.

Gorgeous. Incredible detail around the edges of the face and hair considering the lighting conditions. I also like how the border and the window frame merge. There is so much emotion and story in this simple but eloquent shot. Front page.
