Reminds one of "Pianissimo", that very fine image by jmsetzler that placed 3rd in the Soft Focus challenge. This is a very fine image I'd be proud to have taken myself.

Wonderful texture and very good composition. I think the yellow part of the flower works so well, I find the redish center "distracting". I'd be interested to see how this looked with the red removed.

Well, rose close-ups are quickly becoming cliche, but I still can't help but rate this high. It's sharp, the composition is nice, and the lighting and background are great. Good luck!
