Comment by Teafran:
An incredible portrait that is crisp, sharp and properly framed and composed - a technical success in every way. From an artistic standpoint, it is unique and different and has significant impact being richly colored with excellant detail. This image would have worked as a black and white as well. A perfect demonstration of the power of properly controlled light and focus. Well done.

Not sure I like the eye on the right, it reminds me of an alien. If that's what you were after then great job!

Comment by Blackbox:
To me, I think an increase in the overall color saturation and more contrast would have greatly improved your photo. It has a nice softness appearance but I think some selective sharpening to her eyes might be in order.

I like the pose and composition. If your image was sharper and a bit less on the red with her skin tones, I would have scored it higher.

Give it up, the focus police don't care and they probably don't even read titles. As for me, the blur is not a problem but now am wondering why you'd be deadset on having this particular image being OOF. Good luck.

the harsh lighting and the focusing makes it difficult to look at...but I can't stop looking at it, hmmmm

Trouble with 'out of focus on purpose' is that you have not pushed it far enough. It simply irritates at this point.

I like the intensity of this and the contrast between the net and the backround. Good work.

Comment by GrayGhost:
Nice composition, potentially interesting lines. But something should be in focus, even if it is only part of the image. "Out of focus on purpose" won't help your score, at least from most people in my opinion.

I love the way you've used multiple shadows to create a beautiful pattern.
