R.A.I.N.Nby kimberlyMaiComment by Leo: Her expression is disturbing. The b&w treatment, water (shower), expression, combines to give this a "Psycho" feel. I think this should finish in a 6+ realm. (The title is going over my head now. Interesting to find out the meaning after the voting.)
ETA: googled R.A.I.N.N. changes one's perspective / perception of the image... |

Great studio setup, just needs a reflector on the left a bit more to kill the shadows. The vivid eye makeup is fun to look at and offsets her eyes and the pumpkin very well. But I do wish the edge of the lollipop wasn't so close to her nose, it draws attention to that area, and for the wrong reason. If it were just a couple inches lower or turned a couple of degrees to the side, we could have seen that nice lopsided smile she has and the pumpkin's smile too.

Le plaisir des sensby kimberlyMaiComment by Denielle: A nice portrait. Would like to see the face a bit softer... but love the eye make up, and the sensual way she is eating the chocolate. Nicely done |

Your Sweet Smileby kimberlyMaiComment by SwordandScales: Now, let me say this. I really like this shot. What I absolutely cannot deny, is at first I thought the pumpking was attached to your nose, and that made me laugh. I have recovered, and am now providing you with an 8. |

I laughed when I read your comments because I've done that too, bought Alpha-Bits to use only as props :-)
OK now getting down to brass tacks, the concept is great but for once I think the b/w let you down. It really doesn't work for food photography, of photos of food if you get my meaning. The letters look like they're made of rock but the spoon and to some extent the dof tells us that they're cereal. Add the liquid in the bowl being something other than milk, and it seems to throw people off.
Otherwise it's a decent image, especially done on the fly, so keep up the good work!
Feel free to PM me,

Keean first Christmasby kimberlyMaiComment by grahamgator: A moment to cherish and you captured it well; such a cutie. I have one of my daughter at this age in a Santa suit and it has always been one of my favorites. (voted earlier) |
