Comment:
If you used a brightly colored tack this would appear less like an oddly framed picture of a chair.

If your model insists on pouting you should consider cutting off her head (by cropping, of course).

Somehow you almost eliminated the double reflection. Did you use a polarizing filter to pull that off?

Danger! Danger! Alert!

Comment:
Placing the weight on the ball of the foot suggests that this person has already stepped on the tack. Since your intent was obviously that they are about to step on it their heel should be just hitting the ground.

The drape in the top right corner detracts from the image. The lighting here is fairly good.

I can't believe that I've lived this long and never seen a map with Iran colored blue before.

Comment:
If it's really supposed to be raining tacks shouldn't the negative space be at the top of the image?

As though the one-ply sandpaper-inspired stuff weren't bad enough.

Comment:
If not for the shadow it would have taken me longer to decipher what this was. If the foot were shown at a slightly different angle or with better focus this might require less thought and have a greater impact.

Comment:
There seems to be a lot of empty space here. Perhaps a tighter crop or a different angle would have helped.
