earth and skyby PennyStreetComment: The slight skewing hurts this for me, and I don't know if I like the large number of shadows... Still, I love the blue and that texture. |

environmental layersby aberrationComment: Very pretty. Just a tad too much in one frame here though, as it's hard to make out any interesting details. |

Morning Lightby markwileyComment: A bit yellow, if the sky had been a bit more balanced, I think I would have liked this more.
As it is, you still have a pretty cool image, but for some reason (I have NO idea why, all the elements are here) this doesn't strike me strongly as being in the style of Gursky. I do love the details though - I think I wish you had pointed the camera down more, I want to see what's going on down there, on the streets. |

Wetlands Interruptusby dtremainComment: Too harsh on the eyes, oversharpened, or too much 'structure' here - makes the vegetation feel 'crispy' and too heavy. Good layering though, the bottom part not being parallel does kinda break the effect up at the right hand side though. |

Deltaby MarfunComment: Seems familiar, but I can't place it. I'm guessing you either got in very late, or got stuck. Great use of the opportunity. |

e x i s t e n c e s by TiberiusComment: Very cool, a tighter crop would have given more interest I think, as I can't really discern anything but the overall pattern at this scale.
Still, really cool. |

tin can alleyby tangueraComment: Of course! I was waiting for something of this sort - and it's BEANS, TONS OF BEANS!
I think it works wonderfully, and bet your score reflects that. The one can that's knocked over anomalously does bother me a little though.. (could be argued to be a good thing too though.. A little discord and all that..) |

Rockport Pheasant Farmby posthumousComment: I didn't like this at first.
Then I did.
Now I really do. This is one of the best of the challenge IMO.
I particularly like the road/path, whatever that is in front of the pens, and the numerous colorful birds (with just the right amount of detail!) are awesome.
Really nails the whole Rhine II look, without being overly cliche. Well done. My only quibble is that I think I would have liked a little less sky for a more pano sort of look. |
