Ironically, I think that if the cigarette was lit that would have worked well with the picture and idea . . . something about it being unlit gives an uneasy feeling of anticipation that smoking is about to BEGIN. Of course, that might be your whole point, to demonstrate the perpetual anticipation that accompanies addiction. I like.

Needle-sharp focus for such a shallow DOF, dare I guess 100mm @ 4.0? All my lenses longer than 50mm are slow as snails, so IDk what that would look like but one day I'd like to open my own 100mm 2.8 macro and find out!
