Apples with flowerby willemComment: weird apples. i like the forms and lines. even the uniform color scheme is nice. although the vase blends in almost a little too well with the wall... maybe you could use shadows to separate the vase, table, and wall a little more. actually i think the vase and flower alone would make a nice shot... or a different shot using the apples without the flower.. focusing more on the folds in the fabric and the texture on the apples. |

Merlotby KonadorComment: too dark ;P just kidding! i love the drama. cool way to compose the shot. good use of negative space. i'd like to see a little more light on the top part of the bottle. technically this is a really good shot but it actually doesn't have a lot of emotion for me personally. it does fit the challenge well though which is more than can be said about a lot of these pics. |

In The Fashion of the Old Mastersby gbarbeComment: harsh lighting. lemon got overexposed... making the lighting more even and diffused would help. might also find a different way to arrange them so that they arent all laying in a straight line across the center of the frame. |

hutch and vases in duotoneby wetlandComment: i like the color and composition. lighting could be worked on. i'd try to make it more even and avoid the shadows on the wall. they distract from the subjects |

French Canteenby PacloComment: great simple composition. love the use of light and shadow. good exposure. may have m oved a little so that the line of the corner doesn't cut through the jug in that spot. very earthy, natural feel. |

Unityby ShannonComment: would probably show up better on a different background but i get the whole white/purity theme. maybe a little more contrast would help too |

Just For Youby TerryGeeComment: did everyone go out and buy one of these? i like the way the bg and subject colors go together so well. very nice exposure and good focus on the flower. |

Still Lifeby MichaelsComment: awesome color in that vase. lovely. nice exposure on the top part and good white background. nice work! something about the composition bothers me.. maybe because they go off the top off the frame? having more of a curve in the branches and maybe showing more of them would be an alternative |

Still life with luteby SkiJumpNoseComment: needs to either look more studio or more natural. for instance, putting the items on a solid background and fitting them all in without the distractions along the right side would make it more staged/studio... the white lace is almost overexposed, and having them against the greyish wall doesn't really help.. too many competing elements.. simplify |

Still Liveby MWittComment: very nice exposure. i like the strong diagonals... maybe offset one of the leaves so that they aren't quite so aligned with the shrooms. good organic feel to this one. |
