By the Grace of Pharaoby gstrotmannComment: The exposure on the statue ia very dramatic, the shaodows a little too hard, but this is a good study. I don't know if the background is real or fake and that bothers me. I gues it's because of the vertical highlight on the left with the rays going vertically also. It makes it look like a fold in the paper. Good job. |

Graceful Great Grandmaby mattsComment: Good contrast with her being old and spraying on some perfume. There's a card and the box so I'd guess it's her birthday too? I like it. Nitpick, a little overexposed. |

Follow meby jmritzComment: Good image. Enough light to see enought to keep it interesting and dark enough to keep the mystery. Looks more like a painting than a photo. I don't feel that this was the spirit of the challenge, but it's still a good image. |

Shadows Through Winesby jonpinkComment: Interesting. The purple reminds me of concord grapes and the orange is warm and they compliment each other. The two orange wings and the person(?) in the reflection are distracting. I like the dof for the glass but feel the bottle should be sharper. The composition feels to crowded towards the top. It feels like the glass is about to fall over. An intriguing image! |

Flower and Vaseby JackoComment: Nice light on the flower. It's almost glowing and you didn't blow any of it out. Very well shot. The shadow is a bit too long, maybe if the stem had been cut a little. The composition is too balanced which tends to make it not so exciting. |

without a brushby timmiComment: I had one prepared like this but decided it wasn't in the spirit of the competition. Boy, am I ever going to feel stupid if this wins! I like the paper foreground and the parts that are touching and not touching. Good job. |

IIIZZ 7by PaulkComment: Lovely yin and yang. I might have even perfered that portion of the image isolated from the bottom. This is the kind of abstract that is really pleasing to look at. As it is, I would like to see the contrast pumped so there were only a few colors. |

Wolf Shadowby newtune3Comment: I just relooked at this, it's a case where the thumbnail looks better than the actual photo. Gave a 3 originally, but I'm raising it to a 6. The reason it's not higher is because the colors look oversaturated and it's not a shadow but a silhouette. |
