Bronzing Lotionby Blue MoonComment: Good start. There really is an art to doing good makeup shots. The highlights are blown here but the pov and dof are spot on as well as the placement of the lotion. Try putting something in between the window and makeup to soften the light a little. |

Day Twoby Wenders11Comment: I like the line of little containers of eyeshadow. The brush seems to big to be dipped into the pots! |

day 2 - light fittingby GinaRothfelsComment: Looks like an old light. At first I didn't notice that one bulb was missing. Then, when I did notice, it reminded my of a birthday cake but instead of celebrating getting older it is taking away years and counting down to the end. |

Day 2 - Red Somethingby Bruce_the_RobertComment: I like pictures like this. I like taking them. Then I wonder why I took it and usually don't show it to anyone, but I don't delete it either. I just go back and look at it from time to time. I don't know. There's something that is satisfying about taking them. I like the color of this one. It's not a color I'd want for my bedroom walls, but would be fun in a workroom. |

Mixed-Nuts.jpgby PixelKingComment: SOOOOOOOOO Art Deco! I love the dish. Are you able to get closer with your camera? Seeing the nuts thru the glass might make a good macro. The anal-retentive portion of my mind wants to see this rotated counterclockwise a few degrees. |

The Gamblerby luddeComment: The lighting is beautiful. Sure, I think a little light coming in behind the subject would help define his shape more, but the face and eyes really carry all the weight in the photo.
Somehow, I imagine him with a notebook in front of him. A scientist on the road to a discovery. It reminds me of a photo that would have been seen in "Life" during the 50's. |

connectionsby SeanachaiComment: This still fascinates me. Perhaps the best candid on the site. I see that I deselected it at some point. What was I thinking? |
