Can we go for a walk now..please?by bucketComment: IMO you had a good idea here by showing your pet with that somber look of "Come play with me" in his eyes. The white spots throughout his face are quite distracting, I think it may be snow. The viewer should not have to wonder what a primary part of the photo is, it should be self explanatory. I also would have liked to see the whole head and ears. Your shot is kind of in between close-up and full shot so it leaves the viewer kind of empty. You have the closest part, the nose in very sharp focus, which is probably not the most interesting part of the composition. The eyes are adorable so they should be included, or the main portion in sharp focus. Your picture is an unusual shape of wider than normal for its height. This makes me wonder if you cropped something out that you felt didn't add to the picture. Only you know for sure. Your exposure is good and the shallow depth of field is a plus.
I hope you find my comments helpful and are not offended by my candid critique. You can return the favor by giving my pet picture a critique after the challenge has ended. I am trying this concept as a way for people to get more in depth evaluations of their entries. Thank you Dick |

Plain Perspectiveby SimonjwComment: With miles of fence, why did you take it with all of the hardware in it? Distracts from otherwise great shot. |

Taillight Trioby BradComment: I didn't vote on or enter the Threes challenge.
I find it a bit difficult to see three right away and with the speed voters that probably hurt you quite alot. I also look at everything backwards from the rest of you so I think it should have been flipped 180 degrees horizontally, allowing the left to right readers to be drawn into the picture instead of out the bottom. |

Brooklyn Bridge by JPRComment: Superb use of existing components in your composition. Its on the drak and dreary side but still commands high score. |
