One for me, One for you. CHEERS!by Eagle40Fox2Comment: this seems nicely lit, but compositionally feels a bit flat. everything seems to be on the same visual plane, and treated as being equally important. The tilted bottle is a nice touch to try and make it more dynamic, but it's pushed so far forward in the visual plane that it makes me unsure of what the true focal point is supposed to be. |

Two shots of bourbonby leidingComment: one and a half shots of bourbon.
the big thing about this shot that's irking me is that the angled glasses aren't angled enough to feel intentional. I like the wooden texture, and I don't even mind the hard lighting. |

Simplicityby manavgComment: I don't know how to quite describe this. It feels so... smooth. I like that it's not on pure white and the cool tones in this. There's a hair, or scratch on the left side that I'm feeling a bit OCD about (and lower right corner).
focus is great, as is the rim light on the vertical glass.
good job. |

Not for the Faint Heartedby franktheyankComment: When I think whiskey, I think of color, so I find it strange to have a black and white scene.
the juxtaposition of elegant glass/stonework, combined with the rough & tough stereotype of whiskey drinkers, and the strange demonic little figurine is interesting, but also a bit confusing. I can see the relationsip between the alcohol and figurine, but I don't quite buy the floor.
on a formal note, lighting is beautiful. |

Red Shotby shootout007Comment: looks delicious, although a bit short in the technical department.
I like the patterned background, red drink, and very action oriented shot. I would like to see some more lighting, especially the bottom row of glasses, and a bit more symmetrical of a crop. |

Just A "Friendly" Gameby GeneralEComment: It took me a while to find the shotglasses in this scene, and when I did, I felt like they were kind of arbitrarily used.
the focus and lighting are both treating the two cards on the table as being the most important thing. |

The golden hour by IreneMComment: that glass on the left is lovely, so creamy. The reflections in the right glass aren't as interesting to me, the blue seems a bit out of place against the warm composition.
any chance you'd be willing to share your lighting on this one? |

Lick of Salt, Tequila, Lime by ekmaiComment: nice fun looking shot, expect it to do well.
on the technical side of this, the cropping needs some rotation still, it's just a smidge leaning still. I think the only other thing that I'd like to see done just a bit differently is that the shotglass seems *very* close to the edge of the table, which makes the background feel a bit overwhelming/close. |

Wait where's my whiskeyby mrchhasComment: I like the high-key look, there's still plenty of contrast, although I do wish that the rim of the glass wasn't as blown out.
I'm not sure what the object in the shot glass is... It looks like ice, but it has a strangely unidentifiable shape to it, almost like the pipes in super mario bros.
overall it's not a bad shot, but lacks the huge visual punch/greater meaning that would take this to the next level. |

Cacophonyby banmornComment: an interesting shot, I've been wanting to try something similar, just to say i've done it :D
the colors are nice, and the reflections create an interesting effect, but my biggest gripe here would be that the music notes seem completely unrelated to shotglasses/drinking. could be interesting and relevant with things like cherries, lemon/lime wedges, or even colorful bottles of alcohol/mixers. |
