Blue statueby leidingComment: Statue is unique and interesting, and ... strange in that environment. The strong rotation causes a very large leading line down the torso/legs, and I feel a bit disappointed that I don't get to see the full statue. |

The North Poleby HipychikComment: interesting shot, the fence in the foreground is nice to look at, and cements my interest. The sky is lovely, nice variation in tones, a great time of day to shoot. I think my only nit-pick is that I really don't care much for the relatively 'centered' poles- I wish they were scooted further right or left. |

destinyby jmritzComment: the feeling of motion is nice in this. I would have liked to have a focal point in it, I feel like i'm looking up a cow's nose (lower right) or something. |

stripesby varlyte79Comment: hard to believe someone would paint a bench so dramatically. Composition is nice, DOF works. I think I would have liked the legs included in the selective saturation. editing and tone suggest a bit of creepiness -- dark vignette, high contrast, dead leaves/branches/weathering, but the colors don't seem to match that feeling. |

Late Afternoon Skallby jjbeguinComment: nice shapes, love the forms that are being made. feels a bit warm to me, with quite a bit of red in it. I think a bigger statement could have been made without the group of people in the shot. feels very ethereal and they jar me back to reality. |

A Pretty Cool Collectionby PetRockComment: interesting objects, each one has a very unique texture to it. With that in mind, I think the texture could have been emphasized a bit more with the lighting. |

Green Aloeby HeidiM73Comment: I think this would do better to have been more cropped in, and focused on a specific part of the plant.
as it sits now, there's some extremely harsh highlights, and some of the non-plant parts are distracting. I like how hard the shadows fall on the right side, maybe that could be a more interesting shot? |

Beauties in Blueby mrjssimsComment: Technically, it's a very nicely done shot. exposure is good, focus, composition-- all spot on.
on a more personal level, I'm not finding it to be a terribly exciting shot-- that is to say, it's purely about the form, and not really making any sort of statement that can be long lasting. |

Reflections of beautieby GengiComment: This has so much warm tones in it, that I feel it'd almost do better on that challenge.
compositionally, I wish it showed either more of the lake, or more of the sky, as it sits now, I'm not sure which one is more important to the meaning of the shot. |

Shine by h2Comment: the vase for this is gorgeous, and the highlights in it are amazing. the background is a good contrast from some of the more monochromatic images in this challenge. The lilies are actually the least interesting part of this shot, and I wonder if they're even necessary. |
