Cool blue starby NeatComment: So many interesting shapes, colors and patterns on that star.
I find the rope to be a bit distracting in this shot. I don't normally thing of sea-life and twine at the same time. |

Rookery with a Viewby vtruanComment: This feels a bit flat to me, like it could use a bit more contrast or focus. It seems to be a bit on the underexposed side, I want to see more of the foreground and the nesting areas, but it's just a bit too dark for that. I like the square crop, I think i would have cropped in a bit further, getting rid of the shrub on the left. |

cool breezeby oldbimmercoupeComment: I would have liked for this to say sometime in addition to what the original mural artist intended.
with that said, the technicals seem good. exposure is good, crop is nice, fits the challenge. The title is a bit vague, feels generic. |

Reflections in the Floodby davidwComment: Nice shot. Cropping is good, exposure is good. The water close to the bottom has so much drama, I wonder if a filter or PP can be done to the sky to increase that drama? |

Set Me Freeby HighNoonerComment: good focus through the cage, glad it's not front-focused. Good exposure, I like the burst of 'white' on the right edge. The bird has such angry looking eyes. About the only nitpick I can say is I would have liked the full tail to be included. |

Wild Irisby dandavisComment: The first thing that I thought when I saw this was how droopy and 'dead' looking the Iris is. I'm not sure if that's the nature of the flower, and just a sign of how delicate it is, or whether it's actually on its way out.
I'm not a big fan of the composition, we're used to seeing flowers from a top-down perspective, so it's not as interesting as some other non-typical view points. This would look good with some more dramatic lighting, maybe a flashlight could be used to fake a sun ray or two?
The blues and the greens are nice, I think I would have tried to desaturate the warm background just a bit. |

the Andromeda cureby BrennanOBComment: Such a strange perspective, everything feels like its leaning forward. Everything is nice in this, color, crop, clarity, lighting. I'm sure you'll do well. |

The Grackleby vawendyComment: That yellow eye is so piercing.
I like the square crop, the composition is nice as well. the bokeh is lovely. I'm not sure how I'd improve upon this shot. |

blue romanceby neeshamComment: To be frank, I feel like I've seen this shot many many times before. As such, it makes the expectations a bit high. I find a few things to be bothersome, the island is a bit tight on the females head, and the tilted horizon makes me feel a bit dizzy. Romance and chivalry is for women, and I think I would have preferred to see her expression of being woo'd as opposed to his, (or both if you could have managed). I do like that the water looks refreshing, and the sky has a good bit of saturation |

Twilight Tonesby sekarmalathyComment: First thought:: wow, gorgeous colors.
Second thought:: man, that white border is so bright.
Those reflections of the trees in the water are so sharp. It took me a while to figure out where the end and the beginning of those were.
So, if I had to nitpick, the only thing I could possibly say is that I wish it were cropped a bit more to give this scene more of a horizontal panoramic feel to it. |
