A Rose By Any Other Name by JohnFordComment: Beautifully done and very hard to do!
Thanks for the explanation.
I spent a month or so on this technique with far less equipment, and
fmanaged images I liked (not anywhere as good as this).
Kitchen was knee-deep in colored water by the end of the experiment.
In any event, yours is spectacular and a delight to look at. |

Old School Homeworkby GeneralEComment: that slide rule brought back memories, Paul.
I remember a high school math class where our (unpopular) teacher
passed out slide rules and proceeded to drone on and on about how to use them.
She lost me in the first paragraph, and all I could think of was that the thing was a pretty fair ruler but the 'inches' measurement was off. |

Lilium Balloonus Roseaby jomariComment: Congratulations, Marion, on this lovely entry. The balloons and the leaves/fronds interact perfectly.
It's magical, it is. |

Struggle by scalvertComment: Congratulations on both your ribbon, and the acceptance of your proposal by your now wife.
There are a few occasions that stay forever in our memories. That is one of the more magical ones.
(I assume that very special occasion happened a few years ago?) |

The BARNSTORMERby Ja-9Comment: Greetings from the Critique Club
Oh, Janine, so much going on in this image.
As an advertisement for a, what, movie? tv show? it probably works, but for DPC? Not much original content.
I look at the framing and wonder if it is the edge of a tv screen or the edge of a billboard. In either case,
well, not much there in the framing department. Is the guardrail your find? If so, that knits the composition
together somewhat.
Still it pleased enough of our voters to keep you above a 5.0 and that's something.
Hope all is well with you, these days. |

light-eyeby clickodakComment: Greetings from the Critique Club
clickodak! I get to look at one of your images in depth again! Delightful!
Your powers of observation are magical. To see something like this is a gift. Hang on to that gift.
Now, personally I liked the image alot. For the Challenge, I was bothered a bit by the white outline.
Frankly, I think that black border (eliminating the white) would have met the Challenge equally as well, and perhaps would have scored better.
Technically, nothing wrong with this image - or at least that I can tell.
I do like your sense of originality, in all your Challenge submissions.
