edge pieces firstby glad2badadComment: The nicely chosen and arranged puzzle pieces are displayed in an appealing manner, and are a good example of beginning. The also appear to be ships leaving harbor for the open sea. Could be returning, but it's my whimsy. The depth of field works well, conveying a sense of mystery or fog. Well done. |

New Beginningsby GinaRothfelsComment: Could be considered a shoehorn, I don't know what these leafy plants are up to, or when they've arisen. But the interplay of light and dark, the zippery appearance and the lovely tones sure woke me up. Maybe that's a beginning.

last year's flowers, creekside, duskby skewsmeComment: There's a sense in this style, soft focus, of the whole process of being born. The final touch of a snippet of sharpness, here in the upper parts of late flowers, is once born. It could go the opposite way, but I saw it as birth. The mood is of a tender intimacy, shyness. The colors and composition are wonderful. "Creekside" but, seems like a gauzy curtain in the background. The wispy filaments can even be seen as strands of dna. Let's get back down on earth. A tour de force.
