Funeral For A Friend by rodfulkComment: If this photo has to have meaning and intention, I'd venture that there's more life to uprooted or torn off vegetation than to mere reflections of life. Or maybe this plant can be saved, as it doesn't look dead. Maybe it's something else or something more subtle and difficult to pin down. Maybe it's just interesting and/or pretty. One wonders. |

chilly humilityby skewsmeComment: Perfectly to my personal taste --- understated appreciation of the seemingly ordinary. I love the way the colors of the building have gone pastel, and how the stems to the left subtly intermingle with the pink. The only distraction is the white chimney or vent on the roof. If it's a snowflake I withdraw the comment. |

Dead Floraby thereeceshowComment: Nice how the orange coloration seems to be an inner glow. I wish that the topmost details hadn't been cut off, which as is looks like someone diving into the rose. |

Taken Before His Timeby dtallaksonComment: This is a fascinating example of nature offering what I couldn't imagine on my own in a million years. It reminds me of a sumptuous headdress. The circle is well-placed in the upper center, I think. |

decembergreenby bvyComment: I don't understand what the jarring green fabric is doing is this photo. Maybe it's a found object, serendipity, just one of those things. |

Dropping deadby sbeaumontComment: So this is what a tree's funeral looks like. I like the sense of melancholy here, and the graininess of the sky. |

eye for an eyeby mitalapoComment: A challenging image that invites the imagination to peer within. To me it seems to be an otherworldly egg. |
