Spring - Finally!by bjoernComment: What I like:
- Beautiful flowers, they almost look fake the detail is shown well
What I don't like:
- the pink/ purple flower in the foreground. I would have plucked it before pressing the shutter for a more uniform foreground
Overall: lovely flowers, lovely angles the flowers make. |

Invasionby elizadebComment: What I like:
- This effect goes great with the flower
What I don't like
- this effect also bothers my motion sickness :/
Overall: fun shot, but hard for me to look at secondary to my low threshold for motion sickness. This effect usually doesn't make my stomach queasy. I think the color in this one may be lending to that effect. But I'm not docking any points off because of MY weak stomach, promise :) |

Run Scotty runby NeatComment: What I like:
- Pose of the boy
- Lovely angle with all that grass
What I don't like
- Boy's head is a bit too close to edge of the frame for my liking
- Saturation is a bit high to my eyes.
Overall: I love the boy's pose and that shadow but wish it was zoomed out just a bit to give his head more clearance. |

That smile!by KroburgComment: What I like:
- That smile: beautiful
- the posing of both the man, woman and the birds too, who am I kidding. The framing and subjects are well placed.
What I don't like:
- colors are a bit too saturated. I think this picture would have more punch with more dark tones, too.
Overall: great shot, but color is off |

Allium invaderby mefnjComment: What I like:
- The awesome background and framing
What I don't like
- Water drops take away from the awesome swoosh of the plant, breaking the flow for me.
Overall: Love this shot save for the water droplets. I may have tried to remove most of them save for the one on the very tip as the surprise at the end of the curve (as my eyes followed the curve and it would literally be like a period- as it there were too many punctuation points before it. |

adaptationby TiberiusComment: What I like:
- Umm.... a lot! the color, the subject, the take on the challenge subject
What I don't like:
- bottom left corner there is a strange lens aberration/ flare (no idea what to call it) but that's all I've got!
Overall: amazing shot of a city. Can't wait to see where this was taken.
Okay: one more love: LOVE that there are no people to be seen; very dystopic and moody. |

Denizens of the domestic jungleby MadMan2kComment: What I like:
- This photo made me chuckle when it popped up. LOVE the subject and the framing
What I don't like:
- The focus, it is too bad that the other bug (besides the fly) and the spiderweb are out of focus
Overall: Would be a stronger picture if building in background were not in frame when shooting, allowing f stop to be increased for wider DOF and more of the web/ other bug in focus. Or, based on the title of the photo, same framing but slightly wider DOF |

Enjoying Springby NobodyComment: What I like:
- Ah, a beautiful dog on a beautiful lawn.
- Background and DOF are used wonderfully
What I don't like
- Lighting on the dogs face. I would have tried to use a reflector to bounce some light onto the face and eliminate some of those shadows.
Overall: Nice expression. Great snapshot of a beautiful Spring day. |

Grass is the fur of the earth by the_rkpComment: What I like:
- Beautiful light
- Reminds me of the painting Christina's World
What I don't like
- It's a bit posy for me. I, at least, don't read books at that angle looking into the sun. But, alas, the light is so pretty you are forgiven in my book (but I still kinda wish it wasn't quite so posy.)
Overall: I want to adore this photo but the pose is a bit too contrived. |

Vegetarian Lawn Mowerby MonaComment: What I like:
- The framing on this is awesome!
What I don't like:
- Contrast is way too high; saturation is too high and detail of the yellow flowers of the cover crop are lost and detail is blown out on the cow's face as well.
Overall: Great shot, but I'd edit it differently; tone down to allow more details to emerge. |
