This is nice, I like the sepia tones that give it that old-fashioned feeling. To me, it would have seemed more complete if the top of the little girl's head hadn't been cut off. She is really the focal point of the picture and somehow, something seems missing when you can't see all of her head. Even though it is in fashion now to cut off the tops of people's heads in pictures - to me it looks like a mistake.

It really does look like a joyful thing to do - however, I don't know if you could really think of it as a "simple pleasure" To me, that means something that is readily available to everyone. Sailing is very expensive and one has to learn how to do it - neither of those things are simple.
