Remembering Vietnamby emaynerComment: Hm, I'm not getting the connection to the challenge theme here. If I am missing something, feel free to pm me, I can reconsider my position. |

Chained with a single linkby meneleComment: Interesting intrepretation of the challenge. I find it thought provoking. I wonder if the hand were at an angle across the frame, it might be a liitle more dynamic, compositionally? Nice job. |

Overtaken By Natureby JunieMoonComment: A good idea here, and a great choice of subject. Fits the challenge well. I think compositionally though, this is a case where the subject needs to get out of the center of frame. You could probably afford to move to the left or right here. Possibly, if you rotated the spot from where the shot was taken to the left some, and got more of an angle going on. Still including the overgrown weeds and stuff, but getting the post and chain over on the right thirds line, and still have the element of the fence board, just more of an angle and strengthening the leading lines in the image. |

Holding Back the Deadby RainMotorsportsComment: This is a good concept, especially for this challenge. I am thinking that perhaps a more stimulating point of view could boost the interest of the image. This just has a feeling of 'just standing there and taking a photo'. Often times, showing a point of view that one wouldn't normally see, like from above or below eye level, things like that, can really help to boost the impact of an image. |

Snake Skin Fencingby CharleneComment: Very simple and yet zenlike. Way to envision cool shots from the mundane world around us. Nice job. |

karissa06.jpgby nomad469Comment: As mentioned, it does feel as if your focal plane is just a touch off, concerning her eyes vs. middle. And, a minor nit pick-on her top, just behind her left breast, the light seems a touch hot. With that being said, however, I really like the shot. Her pose is engaging, and she looks like she is 'comfortable' doing the shot, which I feel, helps make the viewer feel more 'comfortable' and helps to be drawn into the image. The play of light and shadows is great, and adds a lot of interest factor to the photo, and the greens and stuff in the bg. are really cool. It all comes together well. Nice job. Oh...one more thing...is it C-arissa or K-arissa? ;-)

karissa07.jpgby nomad469Comment: I agree about the chair. It has good potential, it is a great looking chair, but here it does kind of seem to just be 'there', you know? Very nice lighting, and your model looks great. Although, I'm not sure if I'm crazy about how her hands are clenched, but I don't know what to suggest differently. I really like the background. Overall, a really nice shot. |
