Ocean Avenueby ZoomdakComment: Beautiful colors in this seascape shot. The foreground seems too dark to appreciate the variation of texture between the dune grasses (barely visible in the lower left of the frame) and the sand. The horizon lines is placed just right, at that "rule of thirds" proportion. I love the soft lighting on the road sign, inviting us past the sign to the ocean. |

Live in concertby GoldBerryComment: Excellent groundbreaking image, a candid looking shot which evokes the passion and power of a live music performance. The image seems fishbowled, likely intentionally to suggest that quality of all live "in concert" people who live their personal lives on stage before crowds. 10 |

Peace (in chinese)by nico_blueComment: Great use of light painting technique, the best in this "breaking new ground" challenge. The human behind the scene adds that above and beyond quality to this photo, a strange mix of vulnerability, pain and ecstasy, all of which are sure signs of the difficult yet rewarding work of peacemaking. 10 |

Galactic Formationby myceliumComment: All of us are thinking, "no way". We had no idea that DPC fans live on the international space station. We'll look forward to hearing your story. Great exposure of the celestial realm. "The heavens declare the glory of God, the skies proclaim the work of His hands!" 10 |

Saying Goodbyeby MulderComment: Cool idea and presentation, even in the blurry quality of the photo, the candid aspect which adds authority to the image and calls on that common human experience of saying goodbye, whether to the family dog or to a person we love. Excellent way to "break new ground". 10 |

Painted by Natureby akshayvhComment: The only hesitation I have for top marks is the question "How does this photo 'break new ground'"? I suppose direct exposure into the sun demands groundbreaking use of lenses, filters and such. Nonetheless, the photo is quietly gorgeous, the most beautiful landscape photo of this challenge. |

Finding GODby ZoomdakComment: Technical, Artistic & Theological...
The reflective green coloration on the left amplifies the conceptual emergence of spring, while the hues of purple to the right evoke transcendent royalty. The gradient holds in creative tension the subliminal GOD within the growth-green and HUG within the royalty-purple, allowing us a symbolic window within the subtle artistic tones, a dynamic union of celestial and terrestial, of immanence and transcendence, of intimacy and majesty. Truly breaking new ground! |

Where's the Monk?by digitaldaveComment: Monastery of the Holy Spirit, Conyers, Georgia
I've sung in those choir stalls on several week long retreats with the gracious brothers of the Abbey. Never Waldo was hiding out among the monks. Cool capture! |

Solitudeby ZoomdakComment: Great photo! The unity of composition, color, mood and title make this a sure 10! If only I could vote. Thanks for a great capture of that beautiful rock in one of its many moods. I also love the surprise of the moon's solitude, looking down upon the rock's solitude, both observing the photographer's solitude. Very peaceful and a likely ribbon. |
