Target Practice...by toddheadComment: Sorry, I do not get it. Background is full of extraneousmatter and not enough of subject is there so I can identify the subject nor is any of it arranged as a good abstract. |

Reel Mowerby weavercComment: Good light and good focus. Framing / cropping do not work for me, nor does the background. You have plenty of light to reduce f stop considerably and really turn the background completely into circles of confusion. The reels of the mower do not even show. |

Dead Boltby gajmajComment: Maybe, but a very alive photo. I really like this shot. You get a 9 from me. |

Keys to Imaginationby cynicznyComment: Even with the background lost to circles of confusion, it still interferes, but even so the incongruity of the unrusted rings with the rusty keys, the cropping of part of the collection and the rather haphazard falling of the keys all detract for me. |

The Missing Linkby pogboy4Comment: I like it all except for the title. I give you a 9 because I am not judging the title but the artistic merit which is outstanding. |

Rust the painterby lakritstrollComment: Gorgeous. A 10. You know more than I will ever learn. The blue is almost a perfect complement for the rust. |

Getting the Axeby mocabelaComment: The colors are great. The picture is well lit and crisply in focus. The composition is a little forced and regimented. The picture looks like the framing/cropping at the bottom was arbitrary and the blooms to the left of the handle seem disconnected. I also see very little rust, but that is at the bottom of my rubric. |

Closed pastby csokaComment: I usually do not like objects framed or cropped through the middle, but it works well on this lock. The perspective of the stone fence behind the gate and the immediate interest of the chain on the gate really make an excellent composition. The DOF is just right to minimize the uninteresting portions of the picture and the crisp focus on the foreground are near perfection. Very close to an outstanding picture. |

Rust on a Hot Tin Roofby banmornComment: Good photographic quality. The lines just do not work for me. It could be in the framing / composition, or the subject just might not have lines I would consider coherent or aesthetic. |
