Past Timesby TrollManComment: I like the parallels of cylindrical shape. Even the comparison of bright and dull is nice. I think if you could have moved the camera to the left so as to allow the cylinder of the combine to be closer to the silo, several problems for the eye could be eliminated. The vegetation is a visual distraction as is the lack of interest in the uniformly rusted combine. Great sky. Must be a really nice place to live. |

Rust Never Sleepsby orussellComment: Even though I do not prefer a sqare format, the right side of the photo, even though nicely diffused, detracts from an otherwise great shot. |

Axed Skierby snowflakeComment: The tin man did not make it down the roof slope? The placement of the axe confuses the eye. It appears as if the skier is receiving help from behind. I would have liked to see more of that storiy. |

Rust (Closeup)by kevrobertsonComment: This appears to peeling paint with rust forming behind. I do not find it very appealing. Maybe If the shot were just of the center ninth of the photo. |

The Weakest Linkby t_onlineComment: Is this intentional irony? Good work to produce such a well lit well defined subject with so little glare and so little heavy shadow and such a diffused even background of such interesting color contrast. The composition is a little unsettling but I think something in a picture must unsettle or we shall soon lose interest. Very good. |

Abandonedby cmberghoutComment: Nice photo, nice subject. Somehow it is quaint when old farm equipment is left to decay, not so nice when it is a car. The foreground focus is great. I like the positioning and lighting. I would have liked the background to have been lost to circles of confusion with a wider open aperture. |

High-Techby roger2000Comment: Nice to be reminded of the speed of rust by the use of decayed new tech. The smog helps make the point of where our priorities are. Unfortunately there seems to be two pictures instead of one. The building in the background is too incompletely represented to have a place in the photo. |

Chrysler Spitfire, Retired.by tryals15Comment: Nice lighting and composition. An excellent poster for the need for recycling rather than retirement. I actually find this an appealing shot even though it chronicles an environmental nightmare. |

Abandonedby flip89Comment: Good photo. the colors are interesting and the quality of the photo is more thatn adequate. I just find it unfinished at the bottom and to the right. It is as if I am only allowed to see through a peep hole and that I would have liked to see more. |
