This was not the sharpest or the most colourful photo but it was my personal favourite. It is beautifully framed and captures the moment pefectly.

Nice picture. If the foreground figure's hat hadn't camouflaged him amongst the stones it would have be the only 9 I gave. Still a solid 8.

I like this picture almost despite itself. Many photographers would have taken some effort to slow down the camera and get a silky effect on the moving water - but to me this looks better; it showes the grandeur and power of the falls instead of trying to make it looks soft.

This is a beautiful picture and a work of art in its own right - but I just can't bring myself to think of it as a photograph.

A solid 8 anyway - which is the highest I've given so far.

This seems like 2 pictures, with the foreground disconnected from the remainder. I think this is partly because the lower 3rd line runs almost exactly along that straight line parapet across your picture and also because the building and sky are so much brighter than the foreground portions. I think if I'd taken this picture I'd have lowered my POV some and tried to take in some more of the grass in the foreground and less of the sky. This would have put the lower 1/3 line as the far bank with the couples heads breaking through it to join the features together. That would also make the top 1/3 dome and sky instead of just sky so there isn't that huge expanse of white.

There's another photograph here that I didn't like because the foreground and background seemed like 2 separate pictures - I think it was tecnically better shot than this, which seems to have some lighting difficulties - but I prefer this picture and marked it higher because it fits together much better as a picture. I just like the way all the pieces fit together. You have 2 subjects, like that other did, each separately framed, like that other did, but in yours they're very much together, and part of the same picture.

While this picture is backlit - the backlighting appears to be just a circumstance of the occasion and doesn't help the picture any. I like the picture but it seems to fall under the "how to compensate for" rather than "how to make use of" backlighting.

I see what you're trying to do here - but it doesn't quite work. The picture's too busy and detracts from the theme.
