Complex Carvingby sndsgnl1Comment: Nice pick of an unusual subject. Lighting (one light source, it looks like) is a bit bland and the angle doesn't let us really see the carving. Maybe next time use a white piece of paper to bounce light onto the dark side. Interesting details could be better seen with a wider depth of field. |

Teardrop by prozacComment: Wow, that's amazingly close! Nice lighting of details. This picture could be improved a bit by working around the reflections from your softbox. And there's just a wee bit of dust on the upper right. Overall, good job. |

Work IDby thommoComment: Good! A picture that not everyone else did :) Nice use of depth of field... Picture might be improved if the medal portion of the badge was completely in focus. |

Count S'moresby CraigDComment: Cute subject with good focusing, but lighting is too dark/blue in this picture and it looks as though you've used jeans for the backdrop. |

My First Canonby incubusComment: Nice lighting with a few hot areas. While technically probably close to the 1:1 ratio, not as "macro" as it could have been. Would like to have seen the picture focus on a small piece of your first Canon. |

Glassedby rshekarComment: Lovely piece of glasswork, but not an extreme close up IMO. Also, dent on table is distracting. |

sea shellby pookey83Comment: Nice capture of details, but lighting is a bit harsh and having the focus on the center portion of the shell instead of the point is distracting. |
