looked all over my house for something to take a macro of that wasn't a bug or a flower. this is what i came up with.

I dont like that the border is only around 2 edges. I think it distracts from the photo.

Nice capture of details, but lighting is a bit harsh and having the focus on the center portion of the shell instead of the point is distracting.

What's up with the 2 sided border? If it was an accident, it's pretty sloppy presentation, if it was on purpose, I think it's aweful. Lighting seems to be very dull. I think that with a little more lighting, not only would it tone down the distraction shadows, but it could bring out some more detail. I think this fits the challenge nicely, and the subject is neat, just needs something else to make it really punch. A little extra light could definatley help that on it's way. ~Heather~
