While I like the way fire photographs the softness of this image hurts it. It probably wouldn't be so bad if the front OR back was in focus but neither really are and it is hard to find a subject to focus on. You captured the flames perfect otherwise. Good luck.

Details are nice and pretty sharp, I like that the flame is bright but not totally blown out, could have been maybe a little less exposed but still very nice. Colors are nice for this subject although I'm not sure about the green candle (I guess that could be considered Jade color) but I think something like a brown one might be better. I was a little concerned about the cropping on the top and right but actually think it works for the image. good luck

Slightly similar to another in the challenge but your's appears to be better. I hope you give details on how you achieved this very unique and cool image. I like the orangeish/gold lights emiting out against the black. Good job and good luck.

Very unique image. Not a big fan of negative images but this has a neat effect to it. I like the way the wick came out and you can really see the shape of it. NIce placement in the image and effective use of negative (no pun intended) space.

Very very nice. I would actually like the flames less bright but not sure if it is possible. Too bad the rules wouldn't let you clone out that small green light reflection on the left candle. I love the sparkle and the colors. Great job and good luck

I think a white balance adjustment would have really helped this image. I understand the feel you were going for but I feel it has a little too much red in it. Very nice focus and DOF is right on. Good luck.

at first I thought you forgot to rotate this image but the title tells me it is supposed to be flying in the air but the lack of motion doesn't portray this very well. The subject is sharp and well focused.
