very nice but leaves a sour taste in my mouth...just kidding. Very well done, wish I'd had the imagination to accomplish something like this. I would have liked a little more color in the lemon (seems washed out a little) but still a great take on the challenge.

The sloping horizon makes me lean when I view this. Try and make sure you keep it level if at all possible. You did keep it out of the center so kudos to that. Image lacks a little punch but fits the challenge as near as I can tell.

Just wondering what you meant by missing an element? The challenge was to include at least one of the elements...it didn't have to include all of them. I think a lot of people didn't read the description for the challenge and just shot off the cuff, this hurt some good photographers. A rock in this image would have thrown off the entire image and ruined it. It's sad that you voted lower becuase you may not have understood the challenge.

Congrats, one of the very few that deserved above a 5 in this challenge. Well executed and beautiful. Was a 10 in my book.

wonderful image, you kept the ragged rocks sharp while giving the water a nice soft feel. Great use of lighting (sunrise?) and best of all you stayed away from the typical submission idea. You are one of the few in this challenge that shows yourself as a professional (or at least very advanced hobbiest). Good job.

well at least it isn't a regular river rock like the other images. I think you would have faired better if you'd just shot the ring, with maybe the paper behind it. Your lighting seems ok for that and you could have probably gotten right down to it to show some detail and bling. Good DOF.

I hope a lot of the people learn from your image...you have met the challenge while creating a classy very detailed image. Your DOF is a little harsh and causes a little too much blur on the right side, but you did not stay inside the box when it came to shooting this. You apparently put a little thought to it and took some time setting it up. Good job

ok this image is similar to others that contain scissors and paper, (I was even looking for a rock somewhere) BUT you have added a new level to it. You kept it from being boring and appearing to look like it was shot with a camera phone. You've got great colors and different shapes to draw the eyes around the image, your scissors reflect the yellow one nicely and your DOF is perfect. Thank you for being creative and putting some thought to your image. Good luck

a beautiful picture but I think you over did it with the lava rock. Maybe a different angle would have solo'd it more. Now it looks like a nice mountain picture with a rock in your way. Colors seem a little bit dull but not bad at all.

Please allow me to offer some possible help with your image.
First it is too small, 640 is the biggest any side can be so use it, if you went smaller due to the mb issue then learn about compression and do it in small amounts till you get past the allowed level.
The hands are blurry, try and make sure they stay still when shooting, unless this is an action shot it really distracts from the overall image.
The hands are both cut off at bad places leaving floating fingers...try to re-position them to get more of the hand, maybe even moving back to include more space to get them in.
Your crop is way too tight. Leave room, this may have helped with the hands as mentioned above.
Nothing is really sharply in focus.

I do like that you didn't go with the traditional scissors cut paper, rock crushes scissors photo like most did, that shows you do think out of the box and have some creativity, hope my suggestions can help.
