Stanby dsa157Comment: Stan looks angry. The light portion of the background on the right is distracting my attention from the subject. The almost glowing lighting is nice, but seems out of place on this serious kitty. The eyes have great detail and focus. |

Black and Whiteby dipaulkComment: This one is dramatic but lacks a bit in execution. The green eyes really pop, but the lighting is a bit too harsh (shadow under chin) and the srarpness needed to pull out the detail and make the dark subject dark background shot work is just not there. I would definitely try a reshoot. Good eye. Just needs a little tweeking. |

The Divine Ms. Pby L1Comment: I think this is just precious, but I have to say a different choice of background color might have improved it. I think white or even a darker pink would have put this one over the top for me. The focus drops off a bit for the eye on the left. sharpening that area would improve as well. Good luck. |

Shyannby TikicharmComment: Centered works well here. I think a bit tighter crop might have improved the composition a bit. I tend to think you should show all of the feet if any of the feet in this type of pose. Eyes are nice. Black and white also works well. |

My Patient Petby MonaComment: The bunny had potential, but the background and other items are competing for the attention of the viewer and winning. A photo of this bunny on a plain black background would have been a much better choice. |

Fangs & Rosesby redpandaComment: A portrait should really showcase one subject or group of subjects. Here you have two separate and competing subjects. The cat is supposed to be the subject, and from this angle it has no real appeal. |
