Great, dynamic composition with an excellent use of color - IMO, the bright, vibrant color is the main characteristic that makes this photo so great. Also, a great sense of depth is visualized as the viewer can perceive that her hand is in front of her face due to your use of a shallow DOF. The scarves serve to create a simple yet elegant frame to emphasize the subject even more. Technically, this photo is nearly perfect, and artisticly it's a beautiful work of art. Great job and congratulations on your blue ribbon.

Nice sharp image, but I would prefer it from a different angle to add interest and also a different composition - there seems to a be a bit too much empty space on the right and bottom. I would also like it more if the background weren't so distracting, it tends to pull my eyes away from the subject.

Quite underrated IMO. This was one of the best of the challenge. My only gripe is that the duck on the left appears to be slightly OOF while the water behind it appears quite sharp, but even this isn't too big of a deal.

Nice photo and execution, but the composition is a bit off IMO (which is understandable considering this is a self-portrait). I would like to see the entire subject and not-quite-so-center. Also, the reflections are a bit distracting.
