Quite Spiritsby bruskiComment: This one is perhaps my favorite of the entire chalklenge. So much depth and interest is gained by having the bush in the foreground. I'm amazed that this was all done within basic editing as it looks like it would have been a very hard scene to expose properly without getting lost shadows or blown highlights.
The texture in the snow is very eye-catching as well. In particular, I love the lower-right corner transition from snow to dirt.
Beautiful photo, 10 from me and going in my faves. Congrats! |

Face Offby pgattComment: Awesome contrasty B/W, I just with that the water wasn't blown-out. That's the only thing detracting from this otherwise perfect photo. The foreground detail is awesome. B/W works well here. Nice job. |

Desert Skinby crabappl3Comment: Nice distortion, it works well here and creates a nice, dominant forground to compliment the rest of the picture. Would love to see this one in color. |

The Long Road Homeby Buckeye_FanComment: I can't believe this shot has so few comments. It's a lovely shot and I would have voted it about a 7 or 8. I love the linear elements and the nice, crisp colors. The detail in the road is very interesting. Great job. |

Surface Tensionby KonadorComment: This is an interesting approach, but I think it would be a bit more interesting if one of the ice blocks on the right or left was in tack-sharp focus and the rest were as they are now. But that wouldn't really be breaking new ground, so this is a nice approach for the challenge. Awesome shot, I love the gradations of the blue-to-black. |
