Far Reachingby commendatoriComment: Neat diffraction. I'd also have toyed with 'Segregation on the Seas' as my title choice.
Good color treatment. |

Search For Your Hidden Gemby jjusaComment: At first, I didn't get it. I thought, "Is this some sort of stupid 'hemp/marijuana' joke?"
BUT. I kept looking. And in the back there, you can see a halo of light surrounding a chapel/synagogue/probably religious building of some sort.
And so you have juxtapositioning.
And it did indeed take a bit of extra looking.
What's clever though is that there is enough general visual interest that your eye wants to keep looking to give the pic the time needed to get that.
Very nicely accomplished. Went from 6 to a 9. |

Industrial Door Contractors: Machinistby Rook3000Comment: Reminds me a lot of bear's fantastic example of environmental portraiture and excellent processing on Jim Talbot, Master Bookbinder. (I think that's what it was called).
Very nice tones and good treatment of the shadow/light areas. |

dis'con·nec'tionby SeanachaiComment: I don't know why, but this looks really contrived. It probably actually isn't.
I like the concept though. |

The Thinkerby SuttonNComment: An interesting portrait. He seems to be smiling in his eyes, but not so much in his mouth. The processing is a bit strong, but not unpleasant at all. |

The Road to Enlightenmentby WobbleComment: So *that's* what enlightenment looks like! I see it up in the clouds! Extra points for me?
Not likely. But I'll toss an extra one at you for your Hidden Gem. |
