Care for some candy?by glad2badadComment: oddly enough, I saw these first in Narita airport. I bought a few (highly overpriced) bags and tried to share them out.
I think there were beaver droppings too.
Pretty tasty for a guy who's been away from maple syrup a little too long. |

Straight from the Heartby JasComment: I almost expected someone to do a shot like this with the index fingers also moved down.
I usually do my vignetting in PS too. You can create the effect manually by using a light pointing at the wall behind the subject. |

Living Hell by SimmsComment: This particular image hits me rather hard since I have a sibling who lives in this situation, having returned to it time and time again after tremendous help having been given her. Additionally the attitude that these sorts of people have is one of the strong motivating factors that causes me to live in a different part of the world.
I find it very interesting the strong dichotomy between people who genuinely have nothing and have no option to make anything and people who take this sort of lifestyle by choice.
I live in a part of the world where there is virtually no social assistance by the government. There are virtually no publicly operated social systems and yet this sort of lifestyle is extremely, extremely rare.
It's a nice pic, well demonstrative and very nicely put together, but the commenters giving you flak for 'taking advantage' of this guy need to wake up a bit and spend a bit more time themselves interacting with this type of person so they understand a bit better how it really is a choice to live like that. Most cities in the developed world have more programs in place to help people get out of that sort of situation than you can count on both hands. When I left Victoria, you could get 14 square meals a day, and there were at least 7 or 8 places where you could sleep, shave and shower. All you had to do was walk from place to place. Living Hell indeed. Walking sucks. |

Still Life With Fruits and Sweet Wineby De SousaComment: this one took one look at me and jumped out to say BOO!
Fantastic use of filters. What filter specifically did you use on this? It's subtle and very nice. The rest of the pic is too. |

Designer Diamond Necklaceby fotomann_foreverComment: I don't know about spoon feeding the masses, but 'early years feeding' certainly appears to be at least a secondary goal of this shot... heheh. if I was a baby, I think I'd be getting the munchies right about now...
PS on a serious note, the make-up seems a bit odd to me. Lipliner? Fade the eyeshadow? |

Nosebleed Seatsby tfarrell23Comment: I thought this image was of the people in the overhead display. Oddly, I couldn't find them in the nosebleeds. Perhaps the message was conveyed a bit less than clearly... |
