Now, that's very nice - better than I could imagine me doing - green with envy- how did you light the machinery - if it was flash, top marks, very subtle, and in just the right place - not a trace in the snowy grass - very, very good - Most impressed

This is GOOOD! It looks like taken in flight, but could be on the hand, as it were - I have a feeling that if you could copy the trees in the background, and reverse and paste to the blank space on the left, that it would look more settled.

Or, take away the trees to white background, and it could well be a flight shot. I am intrigued by what it is eating - looks like some form of weird crustacean, or dyed oat ears

better placing will come your way, I have no doubt - a very nice shot

Lovely shot, Aimee - very good indeed! what a beautiful daughter shot too - I would probably have put it in as well, and then see who is fairest of them all - close tie?

Anyway - I have this picture of you tottering on a stood in your studio, with your flexible big toe fishing around for the mid-air button, and the image is a hoot - (made me laugh, anyway), and I would have loved to see some of you trying to get the shot. Never mind, this is the real pix. I am most impressed with the shot in the mirror - your printer must be fantastic - which one is it?

Anyway, congratulations on your ribbon - very well deserved!!!

To me, this is a lovely example of B&W, and the water power is tremendous - very well done, a deserved ribbon!!

Comparing with the colour, the dress is so much better, more visible, a completely different mood, and the only possible thing which in my view could perhaps make a difference, would be to lighten the hair some, so that we could see a bit more texture. My apologies if you can, but my CRT monitor can't show me any. The water looks so powerful, as it has texture - I think a longer exposure would show it more as smoke, which would destroy the power - most effective just as is.

I must admit that if I were going for a shot of the scene with no figure, I would love the colour shot, as they are lovely subtle colours - I don't seem to be able to capture such myself, though I live just on the coast - sigh!

Well done - will keep an eye for your future pix

You will have to stop sending this sort of entry in - or I just might have to move home to be up there.

I had a problem even understanding what is happening here - how on earth can you get such a contrast in colour and mood in one shot of a sky - it looks like two completely different skies, but eventually, I see the tiny suns on the left, and reckoned it must be the sun actually on the left, hidden behind clouds which allow the orange sunset type glow, while on the right, it is somehow reflected and filtered or a clearer passageway to a darker night sky, with no reflections from the filtered sunset light. Well, I know what I mean anyway.

To me, a simply amazing atmosphere shot - I would love to be there to capture this sort of sky - I never get anything like that where I live - it must be the thin clear air where you are which can allow this sort of image - very well captured, and I like the boat which adds scale and interest. Never mind the title, just keep sending these lovely shots in - thanks for submitting!

Beautiful place, beautifully taken - congratulations on a fine photograph! I would like it even trimmed to two rocks below the one in the middle of the picture too.

Totally envious - what a wonderful shot - perfection encapsulated in a moment!

How did you do it? - hours of patience, or distraction by another, and concentrated care?

Anyway you did it, lovely quality

Congratulations

This is one shot, taken in colour, converted on the left to B+W by the sound of the glasses thing. Is this you, or did you take this, or both? If it's one shot, an unusual shirt, or one over each shoulder

Quite inventive - you like a challenge, obviously.

I would maybe have done this in two shots, kept the shades and glasses whole, and just superimposed one over the other - but that may not be such a challenge

It has given me an idea though for a shot of me

Thanks

This is a classic mix of beauty and sad situation. How can people be in a situation like this, and we take such a beautiful shot of them?

Makes me want to get him out of there, haircut, off the cigarettes, help get a job, a wife, a life, a bright outlook, and happiness. It takes time and commitment to do that though, and I have always been too selfish to do it.

This photo makes me want to be a better neighbour, person, and friend
Congratulations - that is not an easy thing to do! You look like you care about this man. I guess you may not have been kidding about the Ghetto comment on the reflecting flower shot!

My word! Looks like the bug has big pupils in the eyes - very effective, and wonderful biting colour.

Well done
