I like this one better than the first...the other one seems a little over the top to me and not as well composed...this one is an excellent composition and also interesting. The processing is good; the bit of neatimage or gaussian blur(not sure which it is) works well as do the tones of this shot.

I think that Sammie has a point about the frond in the front appearing to block your eye from the image...the tones and the composition are interesting; keep testing those creative waters with your camera, as Ansel Adams used to say, "When I look at a fine photograph, sometimes I can hear music."...well, when I look at your agave images I hear Bach and Chopin...
