| 11/15/2008 10:32:29 PM | 1 Horse Power, Iron Rimsby J-MeComment: Were you going for a feature of the old carraige, or the contrast of old and new? Either way the concept would work, but theres a problem, the background.
As it is, the subject is placed strongly in the center of the frame making the background seem incidental. To feature the carraige, try to remove as many distractions as possible. Try a low or high angle in this case. To contrast the carraige with the buildings, try to give them more or less equal weight in the image. In this case you could keep the carraige off to one side of the frame, for example. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
| 11/15/2008 10:24:43 PM | Hydragyrumby mgsmith53Comment: The trouble with abstracts is that the eye struggles to find a recognizable object in the frame. It then locks onto that object, if found, and constantly refers to it to give context to the other forms. I'm afraid I've locked onto your thumb. Still, it's a striking composition. I like the shape of the Mercury. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

| 11/15/2008 10:10:55 PM | Mercuryby libertyComment: Great dramatic lighting and composition, but 80? It's a bit of an anti-climax. Mid-teens or 120 plus would be more appropriate, unless it's Celsius...
Processing is spot on. | Photographer found comment helpful. |

May I suggest tightening up the crop a bit to lose a bit of the bottom and keep attention on the subjects. Great job at focusing through curved glass! | Photographer found comment helpful. |

Aside from the frighteningly over-complicated presentation of a recommended daily nutritional suppliment, this is a good shot. Perhaps a bit hot on the upper-left, and a bit yellow on the lower-right. Well done. | Photographer found comment helpful. |
