Go on, crop in! Let the lines fill the frame! The border on top of the white border just shrinks the subject here too much. The square crop works with this shot, but it's just too loose.

With a faster shutter speed you may be able to avoid the motion blur on the bottom flower. Or you could use a stake and twist-tie if it's windy.

I had to do a little research when I saw this. A beautiful, symbolic, and historic image. Well composed. One technical note, the focus seems just a tiny bit off here, it pulls the eye too far to the left.

I have no idea how to critique astrophotography. It's like trying to find fault with the universe itself, a futile endeavor indeed. As an abstract, however... The centered composition with so much negative space diminishes the impact of the central subject. It almost feels too clinical, too sterile. A closer crop, or off center comp, would do a lot here.
