Interesting interpretation of the challenge, I don't think it will go over well due to the lack of an element, but I appreciate your thinking beyond the challenge description. Certainly nature is full of gold!!!
Unfortunately, I feel the composition is lacking a focal point to support your intended subject in my opinion. I'm not crazy about the use of the reflective surface as it resulted in significant ghosting (at least I think that's what happened, I suppose it could be movement and it's just blurry).
I think it may have been interesting to have the flower facing the sun. Your "gold" would have been more prominent rather than in a harsh shadow.

| With a faster shutter speed you may be able to avoid the motion blur on the bottom flower. Or you could use a stake and twist-tie if it's windy. |

| Nice approach, but I find the shadow on the flower distracting. The image also seems about a stop under exposed. |
